Our client is an independent industrial group, one of the world's leading manufacturers of technical parts for the packaging industry. The group is recruiting to strengthen quality performance at European level (10 plants) and ensure alignment between the group quality objectives and production constraints.
Jobs reports directly to Group Quality Manager.
Job based in Moselle, France - Frequent travel in Europe.
Role:
Coordination and collaboration
Collaborate with different departments: Work closely with R&D, production, quality and customer teams to ensure consistency of actions.
Manage suppliers: Monitor the quality of products supplied and implement improvement actions where necessary. Collaborate with suppliers, understand their needs and ensure effective communication of the group’s requirements.
Communicate: Regular communication with management on project progress and results achieved.
Support Group sites: Provide full support across all functions to ensure successful handover and integration of products.
Monitor customer expectations: Ensure that customer expectations are integrated throughout the process, from preliminary design to industrialization.
Quality strategy and planning
Define a product quality strategy: develop and implement a global quality strategy, in line with the Group's objectives.
Long-term planning: Establish a long-term quality plan, integrating market developments, new regulations and customer feedback.
Integrate quality into projects: Ensure the integration of quality requirements from the earliest phases of product design and development.
Supervise: Ensure supervision of qualification processes for new equipment and process approvals, including FAT and SAT stages.
Review: Carry out independent reviews of FAT and SAT results using statistical methods and other appropriate tools to confirm status and acceptance in order to proceed to the next phase.
Define metrological requirements in the early stages of design, and ensure that acceptance sites are prepared for product inspections.
Continuous improvement
Gap analysis: Analyze variance between results achieved and objectives set.
Use a structured approach: Apply a structured approach using quality tools and techniques to ensure clarity and efficiency.
Continuous improvement: Continuously improve the quality management system to ensure efficient and effective processes that meet customer requirements.
Implement corrective actions: Lead problem-solving activities, verify data and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Perform project management: Work within project deadlines, provide timely updates and create and manage sub-project deadlines as required.

Profile:
Higher scientific education diploma, ideally materials engineering, or professional qualifications in Quality, Engineering, Science or related discipline.
At list 5 years of experience in a similar position.
Knowledge of QMS requirements, including related International Standards.
Knowledge of Quality disciplines including Costs of Quality, Quality Monitoring, Quality tools & techniques, and Statistical analysis.
Good experience in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
Good understanding & ability to communicate in English language.
